The Archive provides several repertoires in digital format, which can both help for preliminary research before accessing the archive, and offer support for consulting the documents themselves.

General repertoires

The historical-biographical dictionary, this is for sure the starting point of every research. A work of over 4000 pages in 4 volumes with references to biographies, places and themes of the history of the Society

A Jesuit glossary, a guide to the types of document, the roles assumed by the various Jesuits, the terminology and abbreviations used

A synopsis of the history of the Society from the beginning up to 1940

The archival fonds are in many cases organized according to a geographical criteria, so these repertoires are essential to find the documents held by the Archive:

Repertoires about Jesuits

Defunctorum catalogues & the catalogs of the New Society

Repertoires about Jesuits

Defunctorum catalogues (lists of deceased Jesuits from the origins of the Company up to 1985)

The Catalogs of the New Society (lists of Jesuits with biographical information, divided by Province and by single residence years 1774-1945)

Bibliographic repertoires

The bibliography on the history of the Company, the Sommervogel, the Moniteur & the Index Bibliographicus

Bibliographic repertoires

A rich section of bibliographic repertoires with the entire bibliography of Polgar continued by Paul Begheyn and Wenceslao Soto to the present day. But in addition to the bibliography on the history of the Company, in the section there are other fundamental texts such as the Sommervogel, the Moniteur and the Index Bibliographicus Societatis Iesu
